Production Readiness
Production readiness testing ensures that your development, testing and implementation teams all validate new applications to minimize problems that may arise when the application is launched. Typically, production readiness tests (PRT) include the following elements which are performed before deployment into a production environment:

Capgemini's focus areas for production readiness testing include:
- Test overnight batch runs as per defined timelines
- Test batch runs for end of week, end of month or end of year within defined timelines
- Test hot, cold and online backups and restorations and their performance
- Check the physical storage and space required for hot and cold data backups (tapes. HDD, SAN)
- Test the functionality of failover jobs
- Ensure online backup on tape functions correctly and finishes within defined timelines
- Test application performance while data is being restored
- Test performance and procedures for periodic and automatic backups
- Audit BCP procedures and ensure they are tested for at least two successful BCP runs
- Determine and sign off on feasibility/workability of recovery process
- Verify the compatibility of backup facilities
- Ensure the adequacy of recovery procedures relating to various teams
