Meetul Patel
Financial Services—Core Banking

Meetul Patel has over 14 years of consulting and industry experience helping senior executives in opportunity identification and strategy definition and execution. He has helped many large financial institutions secure growth opportunities and improve their operational efficiency.

Mr. Patel's experience ranges from industry analysis and business model definition to organizational transformation and large-scale program management. He has helped numerous clients rapidly move from ideas to benefits realization by applying this breadth of capabilities to develop practical strategies and structure effective cross-functional programs to implement the recommendations.

Prior to Kanbay, Mr. Patel was with Accenture and Mercer Management Consulting where he focused on the definition and execution of strategies for clients facing rapidly evolving customer, competitive and technology environments.

Mr. Patel has an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Physics from the Department of Nuclear Engineering at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

 

Anil Agarwal
Financial Services—Securities & Investments

Anil Agarwal leads the Securities & Investments Practice for Kanbay. With more than 25 years of technology and capital markets experience, he is responsible for managing all of Kanbay's activities in the securities and investments domain with a particular focus on development and implementation of market strategy, supporting new business development for existing and new clients, and overseeing competency building initiatives.

Prior to joining Kanbay, Mr. Agarwal has held leadership roles with Citicorp Software and Tata Unisys. His professional experience covers a wide range of securities technology areas such as private banking, mutual funds, asset management and administration, custody, and treasury management.

Mr. Agarwal holds a MBA in Finance from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and a Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in India.

 

David Smith
Financial Services—Insurance

David Smith is Kanbay's Global Practice Leader for Insurance and holds responsibility for all projects in life, health and property & casualty insurance across the globe. With over 26 years experience in insurance technology across the US and Europe, Mr. Smith has transformed IT organizations from maintenance-based models to strategic systems. His technical expertise spans both legacy applications like COGEN, Life/COMM, Life/70 and VANTAGE-ONE and web technologies like Java and WebSphere.

Prior to joining Kanbay in 2003, Mr. Smith served as Senior Vice President of IT for Texas Mutual Insurance Company where he managed over 100 employees and a yearly budget of $15 million. Previously he worked for Computer Sciences Corporation on a variety of projects encompassing life, property & casualty and bodily injury systems.

Mr. Smith holds a degree in business administration from Charleston Southern University and an MBA in Finance from the University of South Carolina.

 

Anand Ramakrishnan
Financial Services—Payment Systems

Anand Ramakrishnan is responsible for Kanbay's Payment Systems practice where he brings over 15 years of technology experience to our customers. He works closely with Kanbay's accounts which include four of the top five card issuers in the world. He has extensive experience in building operations and technological capabilities to meet the strategic objectives of financial institutions. Mr. Ramakrishnan has led several strategic consulting assignments in the areas of offshore outsourcing, enterprise wide IT implementation, and operational initiatives. He has very strong consulting experience with global financial services firms, both in the US and overseas.

Mr. Ramakrishnan has been with Kanbay since August 1995 and developed the strategic vision for the card services practice by a mapping a growth path and identifying alliances. He led the business development, sales, account management and delivery functions of the vertical. Prior to joining Kanbay, Mr. Ramakrishnan was a senior systems analyst with Infosys Technologies, where he led several technology re-engineering projects for Fortune 100 customers.

Doug Romain
Consumer and Industrial Products

Doug Romain is responsible for the Management Consulting practice targeting the Consumer and Industrial Products (C&IP) industry, and is focused on defining and implementing practical business process and technology solutions that drive growth, efficiency and service level improvements for Kanbay’s C&IP clients. Mr. Romain has more than 20 years of industry and consulting experience with industry leading Consumer, Retail, Food & Beverage, and Industrial companies.

Prior to Kanbay, Mr. Romain was Vice President of Distribution and Logistics for DelMonte Fresh Produce with P&L responsibility for the transportation and logistics functions of this vertically integrated producer, distributor and marketer of fresh and packaged fresh-cut produce.

Mr. Romain began his career with Toys R Us where he spent thirteen years leading Logistics, Distribution, Procurement and Planning functions across the supply chain. As Director of Supply Chain Services for Toys R Us, he was responsible for the re-engineering of the supply chain that included the deployment of new technologies and processes, and the construction, automation and start-up of more than three million square feet of distribution space.

Brian Eustis
Communications & Media

Brian Eustis is responsible for the Management Consulting services we provide to communications and media industries with a major focus on strategies to address the impact of industry trends such as Digital Convergence, Voice over IP (VoIP), wire line replacement, next generation networks and customer retention. Mr. Eustis has over 25 years of international industry and consulting experience focusing on the translation of strategic direction into a direct, measurable impact on shareholder value by leveraging technology across a wide spectrum of business situations.

Mr. Eustis' immersion into the communications industry began with his experience in the late 1970s with Arthur Andersen (now Accenture) and included the study of damage calculations used by MCI in the antitrust lawsuit brought against AT&T. It continued into the 1990s with technology strategies for NYNEX (now Verizon) and EMI/Capital records.

Prior to Kanbay, Mr. Eustis was the founder and principal executive officer for Sparkhorse, Inc., an Internet business-to-business solution for the automotive aftermarket. Before Sparkhorse, he was a principal for A.T. Kearney where he led their Global Core Competence for Large-Scale Program Management.

Prior to Kearney, Mr. Eustis led a variety of IT system audits, technical architecture reviews and systems development programs for Ernst & Young Management Consulting where he oversaw the design and deployment of multiple enterprise systems and authored development methodologies and modeling systems to evaluate shareholder (EVA) strategies for complex organizations.

Mr. Eustis earned a BA from The Colorado College and holds a MBA (Fellow) from the Keller Graduate School of Management. His advanced management training was conducted by Harvard and Stanford University Business School faculties.

Alan Crowther
Life Sciences

Alan Crowther serves as the Managing Officer for the firm's Enterprise Architecture practice, responsible for enabling customers to profit and gain competitive advantage from new and enabling technologies. Mr. Crowther has over 15 years of proven expertise in applying specific enabling technologies as well as formulating enterprise architecture and IT strategy portfolios. Mr. Crowther has extensive experience in Healthcare and Financial Services industries and is part of the healthcare industry leadership team at Kanbay.

Mr. Crowther has also had broad vertical exposure in consumer finance & insurance and retail. His business process experience includes customer sales and service, direct marketing, business contracting and compliance, sales force effectiveness, point-of-sale, and a variety of specialist and compliance related knowledge worker automation support projects.

Prior to joining Kanbay, Mr. Crowther was an executive at Andersen Consulting, where he led a number of large technology architecture projects, including some of the largest distributed OLTP and document management systems ever built for pharmacy, insurance, and related industries.

Mr. Crowther is a recognized expert on helping companies create tangible ROI and business value from content management, portal, personalization, mobile, enterprise integration and other technologies and has published several articles and studies as well as spoken to the on national media regarding these topics.

Mr. Crowther is a graduate of Princeton University.
