Overview
Kanbay is a global implementation and integration partner for Distra. Our banking and credit card solutions use Distra's high performance payment processing system for the Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) market.
Distra's products are used by banks, credit card organizations and third party payments processors to route messages between acquiring and issuing institutions. The market for this technology is an established one, having commenced some 20 years ago with the advent of electronic payment methods through devices such as Automatic Teller Machines (ATMs) and EFT Point of Sale (EFTPOS) terminals in retail establishments. Since the advent of electronic payments, there has been rapid growth in payment transaction volumes and, more recently, significant advances in new electronic payment channels such as Electronic Bill Payment (EBP), electronic banking, e-commerce and m-commerce.
